“The Sister DorothyMary WALK
for Holy Apostles”
Dear Parishioners and friends of Holy Apostles,
With joy we invite you to participate in ‘The Sister Dorothy Mary WALK for Holy Apostles’. This friendly WALK through our neighborhood gives witness to our faith and reminds people of our Church. Now that Sister Dorothy Mary has retired, I have decided to rename the WALK after her, because of all she did for this WALK. You have made this WALK a great success in the past and I hope you will come, have fun and help us to succeed again this year.
Funds from this year’s WALK will help us to:
1. Re-energize all of our programs and ministries at Holy Apostles.
2. Enhance our outreach efforts to our neighbors.
3. Provide new spiritual growth opportunities for our children, youth and adults.
Our theme again is “We Walk by Faith”. It continues to speak to our reality, not knowing, but trusting in the vision God has for our faith community.
We urge everyone to participate in the WALK by:
· Walking and filling out a sponsor sheet with pledges gathered from friends, neighbors and co-workers, checks payable to Holy Apostles Church (sponsor sheet enclosed)
· Sponsoring a walker by giving a monetary donation.
· Volunteering for some of the work on the day of the WALK.
· Praying for its success and all of our ministries that it supports.
You are needed in any one of these roles in order for us to have a successful WALK!
The date for this year’s Walk will be announced. A special Bilingual Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. followed by our coffee hour, registration and WALK.
Registration will occur in the front entrance of Holy Apostles Church before and immediately after our Mass. Upon returning to the church after the WALK, lunch will be served and prizes will be awarded to those receiving pledges of $100 or more.
I encourage everyone to gather and support us and to witness to our faith as we WALK through our neighborhood. Please watch our parish bulletin for updates. Let’s make this the best WALK ever!

" La Caminata de La Hermana DorothyMary para los Santos Apóstoles "
Queridos Feligreses y amigos de Santos Apóstoles,
Con alegría los invitamos a participar en 'Caminata de La Hermana Dorothy Mary para Santos Apóstoles'. Este CAMINATA amistoso a través de nuestro vecindario da testimonio de nuestra fe y le recuerda a la gente de nuestra Iglesia. Ahora que la Hermana Dorothy Mary se ha jubilado, he decidido cambiarle el nombre a CAMINATA por ella, por todo lo que hizo para esta CAMINATA. Has hecho esta CAMINATA un gran éxito en el pasado y espero que vengas, te diviertas y nos ayudes a tener éxito nuevamente este año.
Los fondos de LA CAMINAWALK de este año nos ayudarán a:
1. Revitalizar todos nuestros programas y ministerios en los Santos Apóstoles.
2. Mejorar nuestros esfuerzos de alcance a nuestros vecinos.
3. Proporcionar nuevas oportunidades de crecimiento espiritual para nuestros niños, jóvenes y adultos.
Nuestro tema nuevamente es "Caminamos por la fe". Continúa hablando a nuestra realidad, sin saber, pero confiando en la visión que Dios tiene para nuestra comunidad de fe.
Animamos a todos a participar en la CAMINATA por:
· Caminar y llenar una hoja de patrocinio con promesas recogidas de amigos, vecinos y compañeros de trabajo, cheques a nombre de Holy Apostles Church (hoja de patrocino lo puedes obtener en la oficina Parroquial)
· Patrocinar a un caminante mediante una donación monetaria.
· Voluntariado para algunos de los trabajos en el día de la CAMINATA.
· Orando por su éxito y todos nuestros ministerios que apoya.
¡Te necesitamos en cualquiera de estos roles para que podamos tener una CAMINATA exitosa!
La fecha de la Caminata de este año será anunciado. Se celebrará una Misa Bilingüe especial a las 9:30 a.m., seguida de nuestra hora del café, inscripción y WALK.
La inscripción tendrá lugar en la entrada principal de la Iglesia de los Santos Apóstoles antes e inmediatamente después de nuestra Misa. Al regresar a la iglesia después del CAMINATA, se servirá el almuerzo y se otorgarán premios a aquellos que reciben promesas de $ 100 o más.
Animo a todos a que se reúnan y nos apoyen y sean testigos de nuestra fe mientras caminamos por nuestro vecindario. Por favor mire nuestro boletín parroquial para actualizaciones. ¡Hagamos de este el mejor CAMINATA!
